Transferring credits in Nevada

NSHE Procedures and Guidelines Manual Chapter 7 (Rev. 113, 05/26) sets a single statewide price schedule. For 2026-27: CONCURRENT enrollment (the college course delivered at the high school) is $110.00 per course at every NSHE institution with no additional student or special course fees. DUAL enrollment (student takes an NSHE course, typically on campus or online) is charged per credit by tier: $162.00/credit at UNLV and UNR, $127.50/credit at Nevada State University, and $92.00/credit lower-division at CSN, GBC, TMCC and WNC; dual-enrollment students are ALSO charged the technology fee (regular and iNtegrate) and any special course fees. Students qualifying for free/reduced lunch pay a lower dual-enrollment schedule ($110.25 UNLV/UNR, $86.50 NSU, $62.50 community colleges per credit). No application fee is charged. Books are not addressed and are not covered. Whether the family or the school district actually pays is set in the district-college cooperative agreement required by NRS 389.310, which must state whether the district, the pupil, a Department grant, or another source pays all or part of the tuition.

Who can enroll. Applies to Nevada high school students taking courses from the seven NSHE teaching institutions (UNLV, UNR, Nevada State University, CSN, GBC, TMCC, WNC); the discounted dual-enrollment rate is mandatory for students in a formally established dual enrollment program and may also be extended to Nevada high school students independently enrolled in an NSHE course. NSHE sets no statewide grade-level, GPA or placement floor - academic eligibility, course lists and grade levels are fixed in the district/charter-school cooperative agreement required by NRS 389.310 and by each institution's admission standards. The free/reduced-lunch schedule is limited to students who qualify for free and reduced lunch.
