Transferring credits in Nebraska

Nebraska has no universal free dual enrollment; each college sets its own (usually discounted) high-school rate that the family pays. The state's ACE Scholarship pays tuition and mandatory fees, but only for qualified LOW-INCOME students, at Nebraska colleges and universities that participate in the program. Who can enroll. Nebraska high school students taking a college course for a grade (audit or CR/NC courses are ineligible) through a dual-enrollment or early-enrollment agreement with a participating Nebraska college or university. The student or the student's family must be approved for one of the listed federal need-based programs (free/reduced-price lunch, SSI, TANF, SNAP, WIC), have experienced an extreme hardship affecting family income, or be participating in a designated Nebraska Department of Education Career Education program. Students without legal status in the United States, including DACA recipients, are ineligible by state law.
