Transferring credits in Georgia

For courses approved for Dual Enrollment Funding, the state pays published award rates for tuition, mandatory fees and books; participating institutions must waive all mandatory and non-course-related fees and may not bill the student for tuition, mandatory fees or book costs, and must supply required textbooks (or online access codes) at no cost. The waiver is scoped to approved courses on the state Course Directory at eligible participating institutions, within a hard 30-semester-hour lifetime funding cap. Beyond the cap, or for courses not on the approved list, the institution may charge the student normal tuition, books and fees; a lost/damaged loaned book can be fined up to $75.

Who can enroll. Student must be a Georgia resident immediately before the first day of class and enrolled in and physically attending a participating eligible Georgia public or private high school or eligible home study program, and be under age 22 at the start of the term. 11th and 12th graders may take any approved course at an eligible participating USG, TCSG or participating private institution; 10th graders are limited to approved CTAE courses at TCSG institutions unless they have SAT 1200 / ACT 26; 9th graders are not eligible.
