Transferring credits in Colorado

Tuition is $0 to the student and family: the school district pays the postsecondary tuition directly to the institution out of per-pupil revenue, at the negotiated resident community college rate, under a cooperative agreement. The waiver covers TUITION ONLY - the student may still owe books, supplies, course/lab/parking fees (some districts cover these, some do not) and any transportation to a college campus, which districts are not required to pay. Students must authorize the College Opportunity Fund (COF) stipend so it can offset part of the tuition bill.

Who can enroll. Qualified students under 21 enrolled in grades 9-12 at a Colorado local education provider (school district, charter school or BOCES) that has a cooperative agreement with a participating Colorado public institution of higher education; the district and college set the courses, and students must meet the college's placement/prerequisite requirements. Scope: Colorado public postsecondary institutions under a district cooperative agreement - courses a student arranges privately with a college, or at an out-of-state or private institution, are not covered.
